In Sri Lanka although women’s education is on a par with men, only 3 out of 10 women are in work. With an ever-ageing population, it is critical to close the gender gap in the labour force for the sake of the country’s future economic wellbeing.

It is not just about equity. In a country like Sri Lanka it is of paramount economic importance. It is estimated that narrowing the gender gap in labor markets in emerging economies could increase GDP by almost 8%. If we can fully close the gender gap GDP could increase by as much as 23% .
We invited these high profile ladies to share their insights with us.

This fascinating celebration of the women of Sri Lanka!
